2025 Asian Rowing U19 & U23 Championships Concluded in Shenyang

The 2025 Asian Rowing U19 & U23 Championships concluded successfully on August 31, 2025, on the Hunhe River in Shenyang, following several days of high-level competition that highlighted both athletic excellence and the shared values of fair play.

Hosted by the Asian Rowing Federation (ARF) and organized by the Chinese Rowing Association together with the Shenyang Municipal Sports Bureau, the Championships gathered 258 athletes from 15 countries and regions. Across 24 events in the U19 and U23 categories, young rowers demonstrated outstanding talent and determination, offering spectators thrilling races and memorable performances.

With the successful completion of the 2025 Asian Rowing U19 & U23 Championships, the ARF and its partners reaffirm their dedication to nurturing the next generation of athletes and to advancing the growth of rowing across Asia.

In addition to the competition, the ARF placed strong emphasis on clean sport through its 2025 Anti-Doping Education Session, held on August 26 in Shenyang. The session, led by an expert lecturer from the China Anti-Doping Agency (CHINADA), brought together more than 325 athletes, coaches, and technical officials from 15 Member Federations.

Participants received practical guidance on athlete rights and responsibilities, sample collection procedures, and the latest updates in anti-doping regulations. The training underscored ARF’s commitment to safeguarding the integrity of the sport and ensuring that all athletes compete on a level playing field.

The integration of top-level competition with education highlighted the dual mission of the Championships: to provide a platform for athletic development and to instill the values of fair play and clean sport.
