2025 Asian Rowing Beach Sprint Championships Conclude in Pattaya, Thailand

Pattaya, Thailand – The 2025 Asian Rowing Beach Sprint Championships came to a close on 10 August, marking the end of six days of thrilling coastal racing along Pattaya’s scenic shoreline. From 6 to 10 August, the championships gathered 85 boats and 125 athletes representing 13 member federations of the Asian Rowing Federation (ARF), delivering an exciting showcase of speed, skill, and endurance.

Host nation Thailand proved dominant throughout the competition, topping the medal table with an impressive 13 medals across multiple boat classes. China followed in second place with 6 medals, while the Philippines claimed 3 medals to secure third position. Hong Kong, China earned 2 medals, and Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and Uzbekistan each collected 1 medal.

ARF President Chen Chunxin attended the competition and presented medals to the athletes, adding a special moment of recognition for their outstanding achievements.

The event featured a variety of categories, from junior to senior levels, highlighting the depth of talent in Asia’s coastal rowing community. With its short, fast-paced format combining a beach sprint start, a slalom-style rowing course, and a beach run finish, the beach sprint discipline once again captivated spectators and athletes alike.
